Where do I begin?
I have had “experiences” my whole life. At one point, it scared me so much that I wondered if I was losing my mind. So, I prayed for God to make it stop. I said, “if you have any messages for me, let them come in my dreams.” Instantly upon my prayer, that is exactly what happened.
As I grew older and better able to understand what was “really” happening, I sought out various teachers to assist me in gaining back that which I had shut down. It was a lot harder work to get it back on than it was to shut it down. As “they” say, timing is everything. I believe it came back on in divine timing. It continues to grow stronger and develop all the time. Like with any skill or gift you want to perfect – practice, practice, practice.
My Grandma!
I remember my maternal Grandma telling me that my Grandfather used to visit her in her bedroom at night. She was referring to his spirit as he was already passed away. My maternal Grandma was the only Grandparent I knew since she was the only one alive when I was born. Little did I know then how important a role she would play in my life.
I do believe she was setting the groundwork for my own experiences. We spent a lot of time together since she lived with us. As I look back now upon those days, they were some of the happiest memories of my childhood. I know we share the same gift, and it comforts me to know she shared her experiences with me. I am sure these things were not spoken about in her life growing up as a Pennsylvania Dutch Mennonite.
The final story I will share about my Grandma is a true story she used to tell me about my Great Grandmother. After she had married, my Great Grandmother could not carry a child to full term. She conceived but kept having miscarriages. My Grandma said, “One day, she prayed and prayed to God to please let her have a child and to honor God she would name the child after a person in the Bible.” Her prayer was answered, and she had her first child, my Great Uncle Adam. She prayed again. Then came my Great Aunt Ruth. Next, (Thank God!) came my Grandma Eva (for Eve in the Bible). God is amazing! Through God, all things are possible! I do believe!
